Sign Up For 2022 Unity Tour

Officers are being encouraged to sign up for this year’s Police Unity Tour to remember fallen colleagues and to raise money in their names.

Officers, police staff and family members of the fallen cycle from all over the country to the National Police Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire.

Each rider carries the name of a fallen colleague with them and they pay tribute to that officer at the memorial at the end of the 180-mile trip.

This year’s ride will be held from 18-22 August, with an expected 330 participants from across England, Scotland and Wales.

Last year, the event raised an impressive £187,000 for the Care of Police Survivors Charity, and the event has made more than a £1 million since its inception in 2013.

Hampshire Police Federation Chair Zoë Wakefield said: “It’s an amazing experience and you don’t need to be super fit; just a good level of fitness and be able to ride a bike. It’s a lot of fun and you get to raise money for an amazing charity in Care of Police Survivors. Officers can secure their place with a £10 deposit.”
