Reach Out For Support If You’re Struggling
Hampshire police officers are being urged to seek help if they’re struggling in any way over the Christmas period.
Hampshire Police Federation Chair Zoë Wakefield said: “Christmas and New Year can be a tough time for many, and my message is please don’t struggle alone. Reach out, because there are a lot of colleagues out there who are willing to help and support you.
“The Federation is always here for you – we’ve got someone on call 24/7 over the whole Christmas period. There is help and support there if you just reach out for it.
“The force has its Welfare Fund, and don’t forget about the Police Treatment Centres and Flint House. Please remember you can call Call4BackUp as well as organisations like Samaritans that are available 24/7.
“If you’re struggling, you probably won’t be the only one, so reach out to your colleagues, because I’m sure they will want to support you and won’t want to think of you home alone.”
