“Keep Doing The Amazing Job You’re Doing”
The outgoing Chair of Hampshire Police Federation has thanked the “amazing people” she worked with during a career spanning three decades.
Policing stalwart Zoe Wakefield first joined the service in 1994 and became a Fed Rep in Hampshire almost 20 years ago.
Now retiring after an impressive 30-year stint, Zoe urged officers to “keep doing the amazing job you’re doing”.
She said: “I will miss the people… There are some really good people I’ll miss.
“I won’t miss the not very nice people in our society who take up the majority of the police’s time, who’ve got no respect for us.”
Delivering a final message to the county’s dedicated police officers, Zoe added: “Don’t let all the negativity in the press get to you.
“You know you’re doing a good job, your colleagues know you’re doing a good job and you will be making a difference to the victims you deal with – hold onto that.
“Hold onto the difference you’re making, irrelevant of the political stuff that’s going on.
“Look out for each other and keep doing the good job you’re doing.”
