Voting Opens For New Chair of Hampshire Police Federation
Hampshire Police Federation members are being urged to vote for a new Chair.
The current Chair, Zoë Wakefield, is standing down and three Fed Reps have put their names forward to be considered: Spencer Wragg, Stuart Freeston and Sean Duffy. There is an online hustings on 12 September and voting closes on 26 September.
Zoë said: “I have really enjoyed this role, but it is all-consuming and after four and a half years, I think it’s right to be handing the baton over to someone else.
“It’s important for members to place their vote for the new Federation Chair, because this is your opportunity to have a say. Nobody stood against me, so they didn’t get a choice, they just got me!
“It’s really good that this time we’ve got a PC, a Sergeant and an Inspector standing: three different ranks, three different people. I urge members to have a good read of the statements that the three of them have completed. You’re also welcome to speak to us at the Federation office. If you want any of them to come and have a chat to your shift then let us know and we’ll arrange that.”
