Hampshire Officers Recognised In King’s Honours
HAMPSHIRE Police Federation congratulates the Constabulary’s former Chief Constable and a retired Chief Inspector on their recognition in HM King Charles’ first Birthday Honours List.
Olivia Pinkney, Hampshire Constabulary’s first female Chief Constable before her retirement this year, was awarded a CBE for services to policing. She has also held national positions as the Lead for Local Policing and the Policing of Children and Young People, was Chairwoman of the UK Women Chief Officers’ Network and the police service’s National Chaplaincy Lead.
Former Chief Inspector Nick Elton has received a King’s Policing Medal after 29 years of distinguished public service. Nick joined Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary in 2017 at the rank of Chief Inspector, leading the force’s Digital Intelligence and Investigations team and finding new ways for officers to capitalise on technology.
Hampshire Police Federation Chair Zoë Wakefield said: “This is great to see, because both the former Chief Constable and Nick, one of our Federated members before his retirement, have given a lot of their working life to policing. It’s lovely that they have been recognised in this way.”
