Hampshire Federation Gears Up For Bravery Awards

HAMPSHIRE Police Federation is to celebrate its most courageous officers on 15 March at the Federation’s prestigious Bravery Awards in Fareham.

Zoë Wakefield, Federation Chair, said: “We want to celebrate and recognise the bravery of all the officers that have been nominated.

“The National Police Bravery Awards is an amazing event, but we can only take nominees from one incident to that. There are so many acts of courage that go on every week in our region, and we want to celebrate all of these amazing officers.

“It’s great to have an opportunity to publicly recognise as many of these as possible. And we want their family, friends and communities to hear about the brave actions they have taken.”

The Chief Constable and the Police and Crime Commissioner will be at the ceremony, alongside Federation Reps and officers’ loved ones.

Zoë added: “We’ve got a great shortlist of nominees this year and it’s one of my favourite events in the policing calendar. I love to talk to and celebrate these excellent officers and I’m looking forward to it. It will be an amazing event.”
