Put Your Questions To The Chief Constable At Federation Open Meeting
HAMPSHIRE Police officers can put their questions to the new Chief Constable at the Federation’s Open Meeting on Tuesday 6 June.
Federation Chair Zoë Wakefield and Chief Constable Scott Chilton will both be giving talks at the event, after which there is a Q&A session for officers to ask about the issues that are important to them.
The meeting is being held at The Solent Hotel in Whiteley and there will be refreshments and food. Doors open at 6pm, when officers can find out about member services and meet exhibitors, and the Open Meeting begins at 7pm.
Officers will be able to ask questions anonymously using the Q&A technology platform Slido.
Hampshire Police Federation Chair Zoë Wakefield said: “If officers can’t attend in person, they can still submit questions beforehand. Slido is already open, so they can start doing that now if they want to put any questions to me or to the Chief Constable. We’ll be live-streaming the event via Teams Link.
“The Police and Crime Commissioner is going to be there too, along with some of our senior leaders. For example we’ve got a Chief Superintendent who’s head of force change, so we’ve asked him to come along. Also someone from our resource management team, to answer any questions on those specific areas.
“There’s so much happening in force at the moment. There are so many changes and it’s in everyone’s interest to find out what’s going on, find out what the future holds.
We’ve got a new Chief Constable, so this is a perfect opportunity to ask him questions and find out what he’s all about.”
