Hampshire Police Federation Announces 2022 Charities

Hampshire Police Federation are pleased to announce the two charities they will be supporting over 2022.

Each year the local branch selects a police charity and a local charity to benefit from their fundraising events throughout the year.

This year Police Care UK and Alice’s Arc were chosen by the council of work-based Federation Representatives.

Police Care UK (https://www.policecare.org.uk/) have helped a number of members who have needed support following physical or psychological harm alongside any support from the constabulary.

The local charity for 2022 is Alice’s Arc (https://www.alicesarc.org/). This children’s cancer charity was chosen as many staff were aware of 10-year-old Sophie Fairall, who died of cancer in September 2021. They were touched by Sophie’s determination to improve conditions for children in hospital.

Garry Smith, Branch Secretary of Hampshire Police Federation, said: “We are looking forward to raising as much as possible for two very worthy charities at a number of events over the coming year, culminating in a final fundraising dinner at the end of 2022.”
