Hampshire Police Federation continue to catch up with officers across the force with station visits

The Hampshire Police Federation team has been continuing with our police station visits across the force area.

You may have seen in the news about some of the issues our members have highlighted – that we in turn reported to the Constabulary – concerning the estate.

We are pleased to advise that all identified issues have been reported to the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner [who is responsible for the estate] and that these matters are being progressed as a matter of priority.

When at our station visits in Portsmouth, Hampshire Police Federation Chair Zoe Wakefield and Secretary Garry Smith enjoyed catching up with the busy High Harm Team, now under new leadership.

Some of the team had previously identified and reported unacceptable behaviour within the team – this concluded with a misconduct hearing, where they were witnesses. The Police Federation supported colleagues affected by this inappropriate behaviour and commend those who highlighted it.

It is important to emphasise that The Police Federation does not just represent members under investigation – but we also support line managers with advice, members who are aggrieved parties and witnesses or those asked to give duty reports. And much more.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the office if this or any other assistance is needed [email protected].

Our visits continue and we are making great efforts to get to as many stations as possible and see as many of our members as we can.
